A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hughson United Methodist Church for Ileene Maxey Tomlinson, 89, of Hughson. She died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004 at her home.
Born Nov. 14, 1915, Mrs. Tomlinson was a native of Avila Beach and lived in Hughson for four years. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Hughson United Methodist Church. Mrs. Tomlinson was a Girl Scout leader, a MYF leader, a charter member of the Hughson Youth Center, member of the Republican Central Committee, Soroptimists International of Turlock and Farm Bureau Host Families. She also served on the board of the Turlock Music Cadets.
Mrs. Tomlinson leaves behind three children, Everett Tomlinson of Lake Don Pedro, and Eileene King and Jimmy Tomlinson, both of Hughson; her adopted daughter, Nobuko Wiegman of Modesto; and 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Norman Tomlinson, and a daughter, Shirley Tomlinson Curtiss.
