A service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 22 at the Hughson Assembly of God, 2007 Fifth Street, Hughson, for James Ira "Hooter" Young, 48, of Hughson. He died May 27, 2012 after a long illness.
Born Sept 27, 1963, Hooter was raised in Hughson as the youngest of three children of Eldon and Ellis Young. He enjoyed music, fishing and being outdoors. In 1990, he moved to Lake Chelan, Wash., with his wife and children until their return in 2009.
He leaves behind his wife, Valerie Young of Hughson; his son, Brandon Rickards; his daughter, Bryenna Young; his sister Laura Palmer; and his parents Eldon and Ellis Young. He was preceded in death by brother Tim Young.
