The Neptune Society was in charge of arrangements for Jeanette "Jeanne" C. Nelson, 71, of Ceres. She died Dec. 9, 2010 in Modesto.
Born Oct. 19, 1939 in Gustine to Swen and Margaret Nelson, Jeanne graduated from Turlock High School. She worked as a beautician in the Bay Area for many years before returning to the Valley and working for Patterson Frozen Foods, Campbell Soup, Del Monte Cannery and Stanislaus Foods. Mrs. Nelson also worked in the Stanislaus County Elections Division for several years. Jeanne was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres.
She leaves behind her brother, Raymond Nelson of Hughson; and many cousins, including Patrick O'Sullivan of Modesto. She was preceded in death by her parents.
