A memorial service will be at noon on Sept. 11 at Church of the Brethren for Jeremy "Jeremiah" Boyd Coburn, 63, of Waterford. He died Aug. 25, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

Evins Funeral Home & Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.

Born March 30, 1942, Mr. Coburn was a native of Liverpool, England, and lived in Waterford for 20 years. He worked as a maintenance man at the Ceres Flea Market for six years. Mr. Coborn was a member of Church of the Brethren in Waterford. He served in the Army from 1963-66. Mr. Coburn enjoyed reading, camping, backpacking, animals and riding bikes.

He leaves behind his companion, Sharian Clayton of Waterford; two children, Pamela Coburn of Baldwin, Wis., and Joanne Coburn of St. Paul, Minn.; his brother, John Coburn of Cameron Park; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elsie Coburn.
