A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday for Jerry Junior Garrett, 63, of Ceres. He died March 12, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto.

Born Dec. 21, 1941, Mr. Garrett was a native of Tuskegee, Okla., and lived in Ceres since 1948. He served in the Army from 1965 to 1967. Mr. Garrett was a construction worker, working mostly for Acme Construction of Modesto. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He leaves behind his wife, Linda Garrett of Ceres; two children, Steven Garrett of Ceres and Tonya Garrett of Modesto; his mother, Corrine Glover of Empire; his brother, Ronnie Glover of Jamestown; two sisters, Alma Dixon of Turlock and Maxine Bear of Modesto; and five grandchildren.
