A funeral was held Saturday at Allen Mortuary for Jess Charles Blaker, 92, of Turlock. He died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at Emanuel Medical Center. Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park.
Born Feb. 28, 1913, Mr. Blaker was a native of Ceres and lived in the Ceres-Turlock area for 70 years. He was the owner and founder of Turlock Concrete. Mr. Blaker was a member of the Model T Ford Club, Horseless Carriage Club, Antique Clock Association, Turlock Rotary Club, Turlock Masonic Lodge 395, Stockton Scottish Rite Bodies and the Oakland Aahmes Temple Shrine Club. He enjoyed collecting cars.
Mr. Blaker leaves behind two children, Ann M. Heron of Miwuk Village and Betsy Hutchison of Twain Harte; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Blaker.
