A combined rosary and Mass was held Friday at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock for Jose A. Belerique, 70, of Ceres. He died Aug. 2, 2011.
Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park under the direction of Turlock Funeral Home.
Born Jan 17, 1941in Terrachi, Terceira , Azores, Jose was raised in San Matthew. He came to the United States in 1966 and eventually settled in Ceres.
He leaves behind his wife, Maria Belerique of Ceres; his children, Frank Belerique, Victor Belerique, Mario Belerique, Anna Godinho, Gina Belerique and Rosa Belerique; and 13 grandchildren.
