A rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for Juan Vella Bella, 69, of Modesto. He died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.
A Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres.
Committal will be St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Modesto.
Born Dec. 21, 1938, Mr. Bella lived in Modesto and worked for Patterson Frozen Foods for 22 years as a production worker. He was a member of St. Jude's Church in Ceres.
Mr. Bella leaves behind his six children, Jose Jurado, Maria Soledad Jara, Rosalinda Alvarez, Elidia Ramirez, and Ruben Bella, all of Modesto, and Maria Luisa Olguin of Ceres; three brothers, Joventino Bella of Hereford, Texas, Jose Socorro Bella of Carlsbad, N.M., and Nasario Bella of LaSara, Texas; his sister, Maggie Montalvo of Raymondville, Texas; and 17 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Nestora Duran Bella, and his parents, Nasario Bella and Amelia Vela.
