A graveside service was held Tuesday at Ceres Memorial Park for Lester Allen Siebrecht, 80, of Ceres. He died peacefully July 6, 2011 after a short illness with his family at his side.

Franklin and Downs was in charge of arrangements.

Born April 27, 1931 in Hanford to Carl and Inez Siebrecht, Lester moved to Ceres while he was a child and then Myrtle Creek, Ore. He returned to Ceres where he reunited and married his wife of 60 years, Betty Beam. He served in the Navy for four years from 1948 to 1952. Upon returning to Ceres, Les served on the Ceres Volunteer Fire Department for approximately 18 years. He was owner/operator of Les' Boat Repair in Ceres for 28 years, retiring in 1993. Mr. Siebrecht was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing and hunting, and operated Mr. Les' Fishing Guide Service.

He leaves behind his wife, Betty Siebrecht of Ceres; his children, Gary Siebrecht of Delhi and Terry Siebrecht, both of Ceres, and Tina McKim of Ceres; his brother, Carl Siebrecht of Oregon; and nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and daughter Anita Pedrioli.
