A service was held Monday at Ceres Memorial Park for Lester Ray Bartlett, 77, of Ceres. He died Oct. 29, 2009.
Born Aug. 2, 1932, Lester was raised in Hughson but was a longtime resident of Ceres. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Maddox and was a decorated veteran of the Korean War.
He leaves behind his aunt, Ruby Spurgin; his uncle, Richard Ball; and two stepsons, Michael Goin and Ronald Goin. He was preceded in death by wife JoAnn, and his parents, Clyde and Marjory Alice.
