Loyd Hughes

June 1932 – June 2018

Lloyd Hughes was born in Oklahoma to James and Edna Hughes and passed away at the age of 85 in Modesto.

Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, on Wednesday, June 13 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral will also be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 14 at Allen Mortuary. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Loyd was a member of Model A car clubs and spent much of his time tinkering and refurbishing his cars. In his younger years Lloyd enjoyed being outdoors, including camping and water skiing. He was a member of Ceres Christian Church.

Lloyd is survived by two daughters, Donna (Eddie) Iturreria of Modesto and Linda (Charles) Gable of Nebraska; his brother, Glenn Hughes; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Anita.  He was preceded in death by wives Shirley, Maxine, and June; his parents, and siblings Thelma, Bud, Marie, Irene, Laverne, and Herbert.

Memorial contributions can be made in Lloyd’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
