Marilyn Ann McKnight

Sept. 15,1939 - Oct. 21, 2015

Marilyn Ann McKnight was born September 15, 1939 and passed on October 21, 2015. Her parents were Claude and Jean McKnight, now deceased, and she is survived by her sister, Marge Derby (John) of Ceres.

Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Ceres and graduated from Ceres High School. She took the greatest pleasure in her nieces and nephews all of whom she considered her own. She looked forward to family events where she could be found happily capturing memories with her camera. Marilyn was an accomplished knitter and each child looked forward to receiving one of her intricate afghans. She thoroughly enjoyed her travels with her mother and father and was always ready for the next one to follow. She will be greatly missed at our family gatherings as we could always expect her sweet smiles and sense of humor.

With the encouragement of her aunt, Eleanor McKnight Haines, Marilyn developed a great love of music. She was able to play the piano and sang with a beautiful clear voice. She especially loved to attend concerts and delighted being with those who shared this love.

In lieu of flowers, and if you wish to honor Marilyn, the family knows that she would have appreciated donations be made to a program that is helping to develop music skills in less fortunate children. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army Red Shield Center, P.O. Box 580480, Modesto, CA 95358. On the memo line write: Music programs.

There will be no services held at this present time.
