P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home in Manteca was in charge of arrangements for Marjorie Stoops, 81, of Manteca. She died Dec. 14, 2010 in St. Helena.
Burial was at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Md. alongside her husband Dale who passed away two months prior.
Born in June 29, 1929 in Pittsburg, Pa. to Edward and Hazel Roberts, Marjorie was a member of the Ceres Seventh-day Adventist Church. Marjorie was a homemaker raising her children in Manteca and assisting her husband in his medical practice. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, gardening, playing games, doing puzzles and time with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves behind her children, Robert Michael Stoops of Manteca, Linda Lutes of Angwin and Sharon Thigpen of Pope Valley; and seven grandchildren and si great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dale Stoops, son Ronald Alan Stoops and brother Leland Roberts.
