Born Aug. 18, 1921 in Stockton to Luigi and Esterina Bisio, Mary attended schools in Stockton and lived there with her husband Jim until 1973 when they moved to Hughson to be near their daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. She married James A Botto on Dec. 29, 1940. They were married for 51 years. They had two children, Frances and Andrew. She loved her family deeply and was happiest when they were all together. Mrs. Botto enjoyed firing and painting ceramics until her eyesight no longer allowed her to do so. She enjoyed reading romance novels and tended her vegetable garden. Tragedy struck her family when son Andrew was lost at sea along with 73 other sailors aboard the USS Frank E. Evans in June 1969 during the Vietnam War.

She leaves behind her daughter Fran Camagna of Hughson; and her grandson Andrew Carmagna. She was preceded in death by husband Jim Botto, sister Theresa Bisio and brother John Bisio.
