A funeral service was held Friday at the McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Marylee Herr Elliott, 74, of Ceres. She died Jan. 15, 2010.
Born Nov. 3, 1935, Marylee was a native of Myrtle, Mo., and was a resident in the Ceres-Modesto area for 65 years. She was a pastor's wife for many of those years. Her hobbies included reading, traveling and estate sales.
She leaves behind her husband, David Elliott of Ceres; three children, Tonja Lindo of Redding, Robert Herr of Ceres, and Judy Stephens of Modesto; two brothers, Willard Garrison of Modesto and John Garrison of Eureka, Montana; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by first husband Rev. Paul Herr, Clarence Garrison, Fern Herr, Ruth Rightnour, Claude Lancaster and Clifford Garrison.
