Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs, 2561 Fifth Street, Ceres, for Michael G. Weed, 58, of Lodi. He died Jan. 11, 2009 after a sudden illness. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Born Jan. 2, 1951 in Bakersfield, Mike lived in Livermore and in Lodi for the approximately the past 20 years. He worked for Scientific Specialties, Inc., where he was recently commended for 10 years of service. Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was a long time member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
He leaves behind his companion, Sharyll Marrareo; four children, Michelle Weed and Michael Weed Jr., both of Waterford, Tamera Weed of Modesto and Christopher Weed of Lodi; his mother, Venita Weed of Ceres; two brothers, Don Weed and Marshall Weed, both of Ceres; and his sister, Renee Parker of Ceres. He was preceded in death by father Leslie Lincoln Weed, and brother Leslie Wayne Weed; and 17 grandchildren.
