A funeral service was held Saturday at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Michael P. Shannon, 52, of Redding. The former Ceres resident died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial was at Ceres Memorial Park.
Born June 1, 1952, Mr. Shannon was a native of Murray, Utah, and lived in Ceres most of his life before moving to Redding three years ago. He attended Ceres schools. Mr. Shannon was in the home-building construction industry for 20 years.
He leaves behind his wife, Monte Shannon of Redding; his mother, Gwenn Shannon of Ceres; his brother, Ron Reck of Ely, Nev.; three sisters, Cindy Reck of Ceres, Penny Alderson of Claremore, Okla., and Karen Phillips of Hughson. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Shannon.
