A memorial service was held Easter Sunday at New Beginnings Church in Modesto for Modean "Moe" Treat, 67, of Ceres. She died March 20, 2008 after a battle with cancer.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born May 22, 1940 in Glendale, Ariz., "Miss Moe" taught at Ceres Christian School from 1993 to 1999 at its Hatch Road facility. She had a deep love for the Lord. Moe enjoyed balloons and receiving them on birthdays and anniversaries.
She leaves behind her husband, Thomas Treat of Ceres; her son, Joseph Ban of Glendale, Ariz.; two sisters, Gwen Finn of Chandler, Ariz., and Joyce Colene Pugh of Ceres; her brother, Bedford Fugate of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Jennifer Ban and Jessica Ban both of Glendale, and Cole Cavender and Chad Cavender, both of Tucson, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sherry Cavender, brother Burl Fugate, and her parents Wiley and Rossie Fugate.
