Odell O. Johns

A graveside service was held Saturday at Ceres Memorial Park for Odell O. Johns, 87, of Ceres. He died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Eaton Family Funeral & Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.

Born Oct. 14, 1917, Mr. Johns was a native of Texas and lived in Ceres and Modesto for 30 years. He was a farmer for 27 years, and then owned a small-engine repair business. Mr. Johns was a member of Ceres Seventh-day Adventist Church. He enjoyed yardwork and jigsaw puzzles.

He leaves behind his wife, Helen Johns of Ceres; his daughter, Aleen Joslin of Porterville; three stepchildren; two sisters, Ardell Davis of Chowchilla and Lolita Sterling of Edna, Texas; and 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Alvin Johns and Raymond Johns.
