A celebration of his life was held Sunday at the Evanshire Mansion in Ceres for Orville A. Miller, 75. He died Aug. 19, 2010.

Born March 21, 1935 in Fairfield, to Orville and Marie Miller, Orville served in the Army from 1952 to 1959. After serving overseas in Panama and the Far East, he settled in the Hughson area where he farmed for many years. In 1988 he purchased the Kozy Korner store in Hughson. He endeared himself to every customer for over 20 years.

He leaves behind his wife, Betty Sue Miller; his children, Stephanie Garza, Jill Bettencourt, Michelle Bush, Tamyra Boom, Benjamin Miller, Patrick Miller, Bryan Miller and Sonny Miller; his sister, Christina; his brother, John Miller; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James Miller.

Remembrances may be sent to the Orville Miller Scholarship fund at Bank of the West in Hughson.
