A private graveside service was held at Lakewood Memorial Park for Owen Joseph Stauber, 82, of Turlock. He died June 14, 2011 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
Allen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Born November 1928 in Nebraska to Irwin and Leona Stauber, Owen came to Hughson at the age of 16. He married his wife Marilyn in 1950. Mr. Stauber was a farmer for 65 years and lived in Turlock for the last 60 years. He belonged to the Church of Christ, served on the Gratton School board, and enjoyed fishing, traveling, and gardening.
He leaves behind two sons, David Stauber of Turlock, and Randy Stauber of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, two brothers, and a sister.
