Funeral arrangements were made for Quirino Garrett Toledo, 15, of Marysville. He died Oct. 11, 2009 in a south Modesto homicide near Frazier Street and Imperial Avenue.

Born April 19, 1994 Quirino was a student at the Alternative Placement Center, part of the Marysville Joint Unified School District. Quirino was a young man with an amazing heart. Nino was a natural born leader, he had most recently been focusing on his education and proudly become a straight A student. He was always helping others in any way he could.

He leaves behind his parents, Trinidad and Artemisa Julia Toledo of Marysville; his brothers, Michael Landin and Felix Landin, both of Modesto, Trinidad Jr. Cristian Toledo of Marysville, and Ramon Ledesma of Modesto; his sisters, Bianka of Modesto, and Jessica Toledo of Marysville; his grandparents, Maria Rodriguez of Modesto, (Neto) Quirino and Maria De Jesus Toledo of Mexico; his aunts, Marge Rodriguez of Ceres, Sara Rodriguesz of Modesto, Candelara, Marta Toledo of Mexico, Rosa Toledo of Citrus Heights, and Juana Toledo of Texas; his uncles, Frank and Paul Rodriguez of Brawley, Ray Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez and Felix Rodriguez, all of Ceres, Salvador and Edwardo of Modesto, Luis Toledo, Ignacio Toledo, Arturo Toledo and Ramon Toledo, all of Hughson, and Guadalupe Toledo and Martin Toledo, both of Mexico; and his godparents Jose and Serafina Villanueva. He was preceded in death by great-grandmother Maria Lopez, and grandfather John Rodriguez.
