Fry Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements for Ramiro Raya, 58, of Modesto. He died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center.
Burial was at Tracy Public Cemetery.
Born May 25, 1947, Mr. Raya was a native of Penjamillo, Mexico, and had lived in Modesto since 1981. He was a field laborer. Mr. Raya was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hughson.
He leaves behind his wife, Alicia Raya of Modesto; five children, Rosio Cisneros of Empire, Reina Ceja, Ramiro Raya Jr. and Diane Raya, all of Modesto, and Arianna Raya of Oakdale; 10 brothers and sisters, including Elvia Rodriguez and Guillermina Rodriguez, both of Riverbank, with the rest living in Mexico; and five grandchildren. He was proceded in death by his parents.
