A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Ceres Memorial Park for Ricky Dale Garner II, 23, of Modesto. He died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center.
The McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born Sept. 26, 1981, Mr. Garner was a native and lifelong resident of Modesto. He was a crew leader for Bridge Construction and worked at American Highway Technology. Mr. Garner enjoyed playing football and basketball, and the San Francisco 49ers.
He leaves behind his companion, Brandee Gomes of Modesto; two children, Christianee Garner and Destinanee Garner, both of Modesto; his mother and stepfather, Brenda Lee Wheeler and Edgar Wheeler of Ceres; his father, Ricky Dale Garner Sr. of Florida; two brothers, Lonnie Garner of Montana and Edgar Wheeler II of Ceres; and stepsister, Tiffani Croswell of Modesto.
