Rocky Fisher
January 8, 1951 - November 8, 2022
Our beloved Rocky unexpectedly passed away at the age of 71 after suffering a medical emergency upon returning home from a volunteer event on November 8.
As a resident of Ceres since 1957, a 1969 Ceres High graduate and longtime member of the Ceres Lions Club, Rocky was well known for his dedication to family, friends and community. His loving and happy-go-lucky nature are missed by so many. It has been said many times that Rocky never knew a stranger, loved with all of his heart and always had a smile on his face.
Rocky leaves behind his wife of 51 years Sharon (Tobler) Fisher; three children, Jeremy, Dustin and Sherrie; four grandsons, Rocky, Lance, Derek and Kadin, all of Ceres; and his brothers, Dennis and Randy.
Rocky was preceded in death by his parents Burris and Ethel Fisher and daughter Tracie Fisher.
The article published in the November 14, 2022 edition of The Ceres Courier did a great job highlighting many of Rocky’s attributes and accomplishments.
Following a private chapel service for family there will be a Celebration of Life to honor and celebrate a life well lived. Please join us on Saturday, December 10 at 11 a.m. at The Old Fisherman’s Club, 10800 Maze Blvd Modesto.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to: The Ceres Lions Club, P.O Box 562, Ceres, CA 95307 Re: Rocky Fisher Scholarship; or to Ceres High School, 2320 Central Avenue, Ceres, CA 95307 Attn: Tara Bennet Re: Rocky Fisher Scholarship.
