A funeral will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Clare's Church in Santa Clara for Rose E. Valdez, 58, of Ceres. She died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005 at Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City.
Burial will be Thursday at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery under the direction of Lima Family Mortuary, Santa Clara.
Born Oct. 20, 1946, Mrs. Valdez was a native of Crystal City, Texas, and lived in Stanislaus County for 16 years. She was employed as san assistant director for a day-care facility.
She leaves behind her husband, Joe G. Valdez of Ceres; three children; three brothers; five sisters; and eight grandchildren.
