A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at the Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs, 12th & G Streets, Modesto, for Rose Graham, 92, of Modesto. She died Feb. 2, 2012 at English Oaks Nursing Home in Modesto.

A potluck reception will follow at Western View Mobile Home Park, 1400 N. Tully Rd., Turlock .

Born February 3, 1919 in Kansas, Rose moved with her family to San Bernardino when she was 12. Upon graduation from San Bernardino High the family moved to Ceres, where she met the love of her life, Everett Graham. They were married 63 years until his death in 2002. During their marriage they lived on a farm until 1963, when they moved to Modesto. Rose worked for the Stanislaus County Welfare Department, becoming the first supervisor of a Medi-Cal unit when Medi-Cal came into being in the 1960s. After retiring in 1979, she and Everett enjoyed traveling all over the United States. Mrs. Graham enjoyed crocheting, knitting, ceramics, and sewing. She moved to Turlock where she suffered a stroke and dementia and then moved to English Oaks where she died.

She leaves behind her daughter, Loretta Graham-Scott of Turlock; her grandson, Brian Dodd of Hughson; and three grandchildren Ashley Dodd, Joseph Dodd and Elizabeth Dodd, all of Hughson. She was preceded in death by parents James Clyde Hoach and Grace Hoach, siblings Ernest Hoach, Kenneth Hoach, Lucille Terry, and Mildred Griggs, husband Everett Graham, son Lawrence Graham, and granddaughter Sandra Diane Dodd.
