A Celebration of Life was held Tuesday at The Healing Place for Rosie Walters, 59, of Hickman. She died Nov. 21, 2011 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.

Allen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Born August 1952 in San Joaquin to Manual and Paula Rivas, Rosie was raised in Morgan Hill and had lived in San Jose and the Bay Area. In 1986, she moved to Hughson and settled in Hickman in 1999. She had worked as a data entry operator for over 40 years. Rosie was a member of The Healing Place in Hughson. She enjoyed bingo and going to Chicken Ranch in Jamestown.

She leaves behind her husband, Doyce Walters of Hickman; her children, Anthony Higuera of San Jose and Paula Woodard of Waterford; her siblings, Robert Rivas, Senaida Villialba and Sally Velez; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
