A funeral service was held Friday at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Ross Alan Janes Sr., 36, of Ceres. He died May 30, 2009 in Manteca.
Born June 2, 1972, Ross was born in Royal Oak, Mich., and lived in Ceres for 20 years. He was employed at Secured Storage of Stockton for three years. Ross was known as a fun and loving person who enjoyed working on his truck. Ross recently became a Christian and was a member of the Central Valley Christian Church of Ceres.
He leaves behind his wife, Carla Janes of Ceres; his three boys, Ross Janes Jr., Hayden Janes and Owen Janes, all of Ceres; three sisters, Michelle Janes of Ceres, Nichole Janes of Texas and Caryn Gratz of Kentucky; his mother, Kathy Durham of Ceres; and his father, Mike Janes of Stockton.
