A memorial service was held Saturday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Sean Michael Correa, 25. He died Oct. 11, 2011 following an Oct. 9 auto crash in Madera.

Born July 1, 1986 in Mountain View, Sean was raised in Ceres, graduating from Ceres High School in 2004. He excelled in soccer and baseball from the age of 5 until he completed high school. One of his proudest moments was being named Soccer Most Valuable Player at Ceres High School. He was an avid SF Giants and 49er fan. Mr. Correa continued to pursue his goal of becoming an athletic trainer and was enrolling in school this spring to achieve his goal. Sean enjoyed gym workouts as part of his daily routine.

He leaves behind his father Tony Correa; his mother, Elizabeth (Beth) Correa; his brothers, Tony Correa Jr. of Newark, and Nick Correa of Biloxi, Miss.; his grandparents, Mike and Marilyn Johnson of Pollock Pines, and Henry and Delores Correa of Santa Clara; and his great-grandfather, Gleason Correa of Pollock Pines. Sean was preceded in death by great-grandmother Marjorie Louderback.
