Stanley Hyer passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 in Ceres. He was 53 years old.

Stan was born in Modesto, on Nov. 22, 1958 to Norman and Wilda Hyer and was a resident of the Ceres area. Stan graduated from Ceres High School and was employed by several businesses and ranchers in the area including on his father's orchard the last few years. Stan liked to ski and was on the Ski Patrol in the past. He enjoyed gardening, restoring a 1949 truck, being with family and friends and was always willing to help others. Stan will be deeply missed.

Stan is survived his parents, Norman and Wilda Hyer of Ceres; his brother, Warren Hyer and wife Ellie; and two nephews, Garrett Hyer and Zachary Hyer and wife Ashley of Modesto. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Nathan, and his sister, Renee' Barbara.

Services to be held Friday, Nov. 15, at Franklin and Downs McHenry Chapel at 11:00 a.m. followed by graveside at Lakewood Memorial Park at 12:30 p.m. with a reception to follow at First Baptist Church in Ceres.
