Stephen Dale Rayford

March 3, 1955 - Jan. 3, 2015

Steve Rayford, 59, of Ceres died Saturday.

He lived in Ceres and Modesto most of his life and was an active member of the community. Steve attended Ceres High School, where he excelled in sports, especially football. He went on to coach many levels of sports, including, soccer, basketball, softball, and football. In addition, he played racquetball, basketball, softball and golf. These activities brought many hours of enjoyment to his life and those who participated with him.

Steve had a generous heart and gave freely of his time.

His family, wife Allison, sons Christopher and Zackary, daughter Cassandra, and granddaughter Lilly were the light of his life. He loved family barbeques, sports events, music concerts and dancing, and most other social events. He made friends easily and kept them for years.
He worked in sales most of his life, the last 26 years with Kellogg's Company, and retired recently.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 8, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tuolumne River Lodge located at 2429 River Road, Modesto 95351.

Remembrances may be sent to Ceres High School (CHS) Football Athletic Scholarship in the name of Steve Rayford, at 2320 Central Avenue, Ceres CA 95307.
