The Rev. Don House

A chapel service was held Saturday at the Church of Christ in Hughson for the Rev. Don House, 74, of Denair. He died iSaturday, Dec. 10, 2005 in a traffic collision.

Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Lakewood Funeral Home.

Born May 24, 1931, Rev. House was a native of Shady Grove, Okla., and lived in Stanislaus County for 60 years. He enjoyed reading the Bible, singing, writing and playing music, and reading and writing poetry.

He leaves behind his wife, Mollie House of Denair; four children, Geoffrey Don House of Eagle Creek, Ore., Vernon Nelson House of Hughson, Carmen Deanna Jacobo of Tulare and Jennifer Lee Hamilton of Oxford, Mich.; five brothers, George House Jr., Jerry House and Orville House, all of Hughson, Herman House of Carmichael and Joe House of Manteca; six sisters, Kathleen House-Sharp of Modesto, Doris Allsup of Riverbank, Irma Rapier of Carmichael, Pat Jones of Modesto, Norma Duval of Nevada and Mary Miller of Fresno; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
