A chapel service was held Monday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Valentin “Val” Flores, 71, of Modesto. He died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005 at Evergreen Rehabilitation Care.
Born Feb. 14, 1934, Mr. Flores was a native of Coahuila, Mexico, and lived in the Modesto and Ceres area for 37 years. He was a forklift driver for Tri Valley Growers No. 7 for 31 years. Mr. Flores enjoyed fishing, camping and watching sports.
He leaves behind his wife, Cresencia Flores of Modesto; seven children, John Flores and Lilo Flores, both of Borger, Texas, Sam Flores of Casa Grande, Ariz., Albert Flores of Turlock, and Tom Flores, David Flores and Phyllis Glover, all of Ceres; two brothers, two sisters; and 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Flores, and three brothers.
