Virginia L. Peterson

A memorial service was held Tuesday at the Ceres First United Methodist Church for Virginia L. Peterson, 83, of Reynoldsburg. The former Ceres resident died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital.

Born July 2, 1922 in Beecher City, Ill. to the late Julian & Mary (Little) Buzzard, Mrs. Peterson was a member of Ceres First United Methodist Church, the Grange (50 years), Rebekah Lodge, and American Legion Auxiliary, all in Ceres, and was a volunteer for the Salvation Army and Red Shield.

She leaves behind two children, Loretta Ellis of Reynoldsburg and Paul Wayne Peterson; and sevengrandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband David Lloyd Peterson, Sr.; son David Lloyd Peterson, Jr. and brother Fritz Buzzard.
