A funeral service was held on Jan. 30, at the Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery in Hayward for Wanda Lee Dahl, 75, of Portland, Ore. She died Jan. 15, 2009.

Born Nov. 6, 1933, Lee was born in Oklahoma in 1933 and came to California as a child. She was raised in the Bay Area and the Valley and graduated from Ceres High School in 1952. She met Ross Dahl, her soul mate and life long love, after he returned from the Navy during the Korean War. They were married in 1956 and went on to raise three children, living happily until Ross' unexpected death in 1982. Lee devoted her entire life to her family. She took great pleasure in being a homemaker and was never happier than when she was surrounded by family.

She leaves behind her three children, Kimberley Lindsay of Portland, Ore., Stacey Bean Bean of Modesto, and Greg Dahl of Livermore; soisters, Shirley Jackman and Dori Smith, both of Kalispell, Montana; eight grandchildren, Tinaya Lloyd, Joshua Lindsay, Kyle Lindsay, Jason Casassa, Christopher Casassa, Jacquelin Dahl, Ross Dahl and Taylor Dahl; and four great-grandchildren, Reese Lloyd, Wyatt Lloyd, Brooklyn Lindsay and Hannah Lindsay. She was preceded in death by husband Ross Dahl, father John Jackman, mother Irene Graham Jackman and brothers Don Jackman, John "Jack" Jackman and Michael Jackman.
