A funeral was held Thursday at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin and Downs for Willie M. Wilson, 91, of Ceres. He died Jan. 1, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial was at Ceres Memorial Park.
Born May 10, 1919, Willie was a native of Oklahoma. He lived in Ceres for 50 years. He was retired from the tire business which he worked most of his life. He served in the Army during World War II.
He leaves behind his son, Johnny Wilson of Ceres; two step-daughters, Jane Marvin and Joan Trujillo of Modesto; and five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Ella Wilson, three brothers, a sister and a grandson.
