A funeral service was held Friday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for Wilma Seaman 95, of Turlock. She died of natural causes on April 27, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Born July 30, 1913 in Harveyville, Kan., Wilma spent most of her young life on a farm in Kansas. On Dec. 25, 1937, she married Charles Seaman and moved to Scappoose, Ore., in 1941. They lived there almost six years before moving to Modesto in 1946. Wilma was active in Ceres Rebekah Lodge #256, and served as Noble Grand three times within her 50-year membership. Mrs. Seaman bowled twice a week and was sunshine chairman several years in the bowling league.

She leaves behind three children, Cecil Seaman of Elverta, Blanche Keener of Turlock, and Birchard "Butch" Seaman of Turlock; and seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Charles Seaman.
