A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Zadie Ora Hibdon Holder, 95, of Ceres. She died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004 at Brandel Manor Convalescent Hospital in Turlock.

Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Allen Mortuary.

Born Jan. 5, 1909, Mrs. Holder was a native of Voca, Texas, and moved to Delhi in 1942 and lived there until she moved to Ceres in 1989. During World War II, Mrs. Holder worked in the shipyards in Richmond. She and her late husband were owners of H&H Combination Shop in Turlock and Holder Gas Station in Delhi. Mrs. Holder was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Denair, and of the Delhi Friendship Club. She was also involved in ladies aid at her church.

She leaves behind three children, Richard Holder, Dorothy Carroll of Delhi and Ella Pace of Ceres; three brothers, Dee Hibdon, Delbert Hibdon and William Hibdon Jr., all of Delhi; and six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Parker Holder, and by one grandson.
