In a blatantly self-serving power move, California Democrats have cooked up a redistricting scheme they are marketing to voters as “leveling the playing field,” when in reality it serves to violate the state’s 15-year history of independent redistricting and disadvantage Republicans in the midterms and the next presidential election.
