The nation seems to be in dark spiritual warfare
Opinion

Can you feel it? There seems to be a dark spiritual warfare going on in this country.

Every day it seems there is a mass shooting somewhere with demented souls seeking to destroy life and instill fear. It’s happening so often we can’t keep track of what’s happening from day to day.

My son who works at UC Davis told me how that city was gripped in fear from a serial stabber loose for days last week. Then we had the Cleveland, Texas mass shooting of a family. A woman was killed at an Atlanta hospital and four others injured after being shot by an ex Coast Guardsman. A sweet 16 birthday party on April 15 was shot up in tiny Dadeville, Alabama which left four dead and 32 wounded. In that case, six have been arrested. A mother and three her three children were killed in Lake Wales, Fla., on May 2. Seven killed in Henryetta, Okla., on April 30.

Mass murders definitely are a defective male problem. According to 2022 statistics, 98 percent of mass shootings were committed by men. Let’s not forget that the March 27 shooting at the Covenant Christian School in Nashville was committed by a 28-year-old Audrey Hale, a woman who had identified as a “male.” She may have resented being forced by her Christian parents for going to that school.

According to Psychology Today: “Feeling inadequate compared to peers creates long-term insecurity that makes certain individuals more likely to become mass shooters.” Not surprisingly, those who commit such violent acts have a sexual identity problem and many are the products of sexual abuse.

Mass shooters can perceive using firearms as a way to enhance their sense of masculinity.

The article continues: “To counteract the self-perception of physical inadequacy, there’s an increased propensity among the young men who do become mass shooters to seek out opportunities to engage in behaviors and activities they feel will enhance their sense of ultra-masculinity, typically through the use of violence and firearms. Langman further notes the preoccupation with perceived hyper-masculinity through emulating particularly militaristic role models.”

The black-on-black crime in this country is at an epidemic level. I’ve written time and time again that the fatherlessness in the black community is the highest level of any race, contributing to all sorts of problems and struggles for young black men — and women, although they don’t translate that into violent acts.

May I suggest that perhaps another contributing factor to the aggressive behavior of mass shooters could be rooted in something few want to admit: pornography. Let’s face it, young men have a problem with the instantaneous availability of smut on their phones, which is in a realty an illusion that others are enjoying sexual experiences they aren’t or can’t, and it causes them to feel cheated.

The night before his execution, serial killer Ted Bundy told Focus on the Family founder Dr. James Dobson, “I’ve met a lot of men who were motivated to commit violence just like me. And without exception, deeply influenced and consumed by addiction to pornography.”

Consider that U.C. Santa Barbara mass murderer Eliot Rodger, 22, bemoaned the fact that he couldn’t get a girlfriend – perhaps because he was a creep and had a giant chip on his shoulder – so he shot and stabbed six to death and injured 14. Rodger wanted to punish sexually active men because he envied them. He wrote: “I’m 22 years old and I’m still a virgin. I’ve never even kissed a girl. I’ve been through college for two and a half years … and I’m still a virgin. It has been very torturous. College is the time when everyone experiences those things such as sex and fun and pleasure. Within those years, I’ve had to rot in loneliness. It’s not fair … I don’t know why you girls aren’t attracted to me, but I will punish you all for it. It’s an injustice, a crime, because ... I don’t know what you don’t see in me. I’m the perfect guy and yet you throw yourselves at these obnoxious men instead of me, the supreme gentleman.”

He was a truly delusional and disturbed soul.

Is there also a connection to the rise in mass shootings as our nation is being sold this nonsensical talk about gender fluidity? Are people getting so confused they lose a grip on reality and since truth is expendable, so is the long-held value that life is precious?

How about the anger that some young men sense after playing video games? How else do you explain that mild-mannered Matthew Douglas Nicholson of Ceres murdered his own mother and tried to kill his father after losing his cool over a video game and a broken headset on Jan. 11, 2018?

Most will also agree that social media is destroying the emotional well-being and self-esteem of folks, mostly the young. It’s hard to keep up with all that’s coming at us as everyone seeks to put their best version of themselves online – there are even filters designed to make you look more photogenic – while others feel bad about their own lives and faces. Shouldn’t we all just put down the phones more or discriminate what we post – as opposed to post every thought and every experience – and just live our lives? Are we that insecure about ourselves that we don’t feel good unless we get so many “likes” or positive comments? That especially holds true for the young ladies who use social media to flaunt their feminine attributes for the wagging tongues of males in their circle.

The spiritual warfare is also reflected in how far our country is slipping while we hardly notice. Take for example federal Judge John M. Gallagher who ruled that the Saucon Valley School District in Pennsylvania must allow the “After School Satan Club” to meet in district facilities. The ACLU applauded the decision as a “victory for free speech and religious freedom.” And we’re supposed to be elated that the ACLU wants impressionable kids getting sucked into dark demonic influences on public school campuses – and the parents won’t even have to sign a permission slip – all in the name of liberty? Pardon me but what the hell?

The sponsoring church, the Satanic Temple of Hellertown (you can’t make this up) claims it “does not worship Satan” but instead considers him to be “a literary figure who represents a metaphorical construct of rejecting tyranny, championing the human mind and spirit, and seeking justice and egalitarianism for all.”

How disingenuous and dishonest. Well, if Satan is just a “literary figure,” they might as well just form a book club and study other metaphorical figures, such as in Greek mythology.

Spiritual forces should be taken extremely serious.

At least when I attend my Christian church I go in as one who believes Jesus Christ is real – not some literary figure – and deserving to be worshiped as the only way to salvation; that the pathway to destruction is broad and someday “every knee will bow and every tongue confess Jesus Christ is Lord.”

Liberty at the expense of the soul of this generation is not to be celebrated.

The Left continues to tear down our nation, its heritage, its constructs and suggests the state and not parents should raise the children. They have fought against homeschooling. They have promoted that men can be women and that not be weird. They call police bad and criminals “victims.” They preach that ALL white people are guilty of being “privileged,” which in effect conveys that black people are absolutely powerless to create a prosperous life through hard work and education.

Voters – influenced by a dishonest media that vilifies some politicians while downplaying the scandals of others – continue to elect people who overspend funds of future generations as a good thing while calling those who want to rein in spending as hostage takers.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the president screaming and pouting over the refusal to raise the debt ceiling – and the one who wanted to forgive student loan debt at the expense of those who didn’t go into debt – would advocate rewarding financially irresponsible Americans with lower upfront fees for loans backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac instead of the other way around.

According to Realtor.com chief economist Danielle Hale, the Biden administration’s “stated purpose behind making these changes is to help make it easier for borrowers who have historically been disadvantaged and have had a hard time accessing credit.”

If you have bad credit shouldn’t you have a hard time accessing credit? If you aren’t worthy of a loan, or if you do get one, you shouldn’t get a break on fees and interest rates.

Of course, the reason for the policy change is not out of the benevolence of Biden’s heart – it’s about buying votes and holding onto power. Bob Nardelli, the former CEO of Home Depot, stated the new rules penalize people with good credit, using them to subsidize loans of riskier borrowers. He hit the nail on the head when he said: “It’s another subsidy to try to buy votes.”

The new rules will likely encourage banks to lend to borrowers who shouldn’t qualify for a mortgage. Remember that the lending to unqualified buyers is what led to the financial crisis of 2008.

Another plan to buy votes is this harebrained scheme to pay $1.2 million to every black Californians in the form of reparations. This is unsustainable not to mention wrong to pay people who were never slaves at the expense of those who never owned slaves.

I say unsustainable because the conservative number of payouts would be nine times that of the state’s $297 billion budget when California is staring at a $22 billion deficit. This voter buy program is courtesy of all your Democrat office holders.

Insanity should never be rewarded with a vote.

Adam Schiff, the congressman who wasted years of time in Congress propping up the wild and unfounded Trump-Russia collusion story and went with it as though it were the truth – and the man who wants to represent you in the U.S. Senate – isn’t interested in claims that a whistleblower wants to show proof that Biden sold influence through his son. Rep. James Comer is now subpoenaing records from the FBI that could show then Vice President Biden receiving bribes allegedly from a foreign national in exchange for policy favors. The infamous Hunter Biden laptop contained emails alluding to such payoffs.

Schiff was asked by CNN’s Kaitl

an Collins about GOP claims. Schiff replied: “So I wouldn’t give much stock to this, but I’m not surprised they push out these unsubstantiated allegations. They’ve been doing it for some time.”

This is funny coming from a guy who lied in Congress about seeing evidence that Trump was guilty of colluding with Russia – something debunked by the Muller Commission. Instead of resigning in shame, Schiff now seeks higher office.

Apparently Schiff is not interested in even hearing the whistleblower. When Poppy Harlow asked if the American people deserve to hear from this person and the FBI should answer these questions, Schiff didn’t answer to the affirmative, deflecting with “At this point is just the most rampant speculation.” He should be eager to hear about possible corruption but of course it could take down the head of his party.

Speaking of broken border policy, did you hear about the illegal alien who shot and killed his neighbors – including a nine-year-old boy – in the town of Cleveland, Texas two weekends ago? But did you also hear that ICE had deported this human debris at least four times? You’d think we would have arrested him for failing to respect the U.S. border. Now five innocent people are dead.

Drug traffickers, cartels win again with one-party rule in Sacramento.

On Monday, one day ahead of National Fentanyl Awareness Day, Assembly Democrats again blocked common-sense proposals to crack down on fentanyl traffickers profiting off poisoning Californians. With more than 100 Californians dying every week because of fentanyl, Democrats embraced the ongoing crisis by refusing to consider bipartisan proposals to hold dealers accountable.

“The fentanyl epidemic is killing more and more Californians each day, but Democrats refuse to do anything serious to end the carnage,” said Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher (Yuba City). “Fentanyl is not a drug – it’s a weapon of mass destruction. Democrats’ continued refusal to crack down on the traffickers is further confirmation they are only looking out for criminals, not public safety.”

Following a hearing in which Democrats on the Assembly Public Safety Committee killed multiple bills to increase punishments for fentanyl traffickers, Assembly Republicans moved to take the bills up for a vote by the full Assembly. On a party-line vote, Democrats blocked the effort, ensuring the bills would remain stalled.

The bills blocked by Democrats were:

• AB 367 (Maienschein) - add a sentencing enhancement for fentanyl dealers who kill or seriously injure someone with the poison they sell

• AB 955 (Petrie-Norris) – increase penalties for selling fentanyl via social media

• AB 1058 (Jim Patterson) – increase penalties for possessing more than an ounce of fentanyl, enough to kill 14,000 people
