Regular readers of this column know that I like to occasionally share the thoughts of others. This next comment had to be edited for its obscene words but it comes from a man on YouTube addressing those who are rioting against ICE.
Again, these are not my words but he – note that he is not a white guy – has some very good points:
“Somebody asked if I support the protests that are going on in LA. I 100 percent do. Please keep going – burn down your own backyard, if you must. Know why? Because this right here is the greatest campaign ad that this side never had to pay for it. Y’all out there in Los Angeles throwing a full bone tantrum, like y’all just crawled out the Rio Grande screaming death to America in a country that gave you the freedom to do that s---. You were born at Kaiser Permanente in Burbank. Stop it. You aren’t cartel born. You were Target born with a Costco membership. Half you protesting ain’t even Mexican Mexicans. You’re American with Mexican heritage and a tattoo of the Virgin Mary you got on a Vegas bender. Don’t get it twisted. Respect the heritage. Flying a foreign flag while s-----g on the country that gave you the freedom to do it, that’s not pride. You don’t even go to Mexico unless it’s for spring break in Cancun with a passport you got from the U.S. government.
“And you won’t go live there. Why? ‘Cause you like your DoorDash, your 7-Elevens, your air conditioning, your freedom to scream dumb s---- without a cartel rolling up on you’re a--.
“Let’s be honest. Ain’t nobody screaming ‘Death to Mexico’ while flying an American flag through Guadalajara. You know why? Because that’s how you end up in a back alley, starring in Cartel TikTok Season 3. Meanwhile, the rest of America is sitting back watching you block freeways during rush hour, destroying businesses, wearing $300 Jordans, screaming about injustice in the city with the most social programs and diversity hires in the country. Y’all are the political version of throwing a Molotov cocktail at a Prius because you’re mad about gas prices. Listen, I’m not mad that you’re passionate; I’m mad that you’re dumb. And your dumb a-- behavior is helping the other side more than a Trump rally in Texas with free brisket. Every time y’all riot, loot, tearing up your own s---, you’re just birthing another red voter.”
His delivery was funny and ever so true. Some of the biggest complainers about America would never leave it. They just like to complain because it makes them feel like they are “doing something.” Their “doing something” is destructive to the fabric of the nation. There is such polarity in the U.S. which has not been seen since the likes of the Civil War.

I routinely receive letters to the editor from a Kim Shinkoskey but lately he’s gone off the rails in the logic department and drank the “no kings” Kool-Aid. Here are some samples: “His good health and the Trump 2028 hats are signs the president does not plan to leave the White House in 2028.”
“Also, he is building a ballroom much bigger than the one in Mar-a-Lago that will not be finished until near the end of his term, if then. Why do this, if he won’t get to use it?
In addition, he has said his “government shutdown” program closings will be permanent. They are “never going to open again.” How can he guarantee this unless he plans to stay in office for a lifetime and then hand over power to a chosen successor, like kings do?”
Come on, Kim, you know the Constitution rules out a third Trump term. The two-term limitation was put in place after FDR served four terms and many thought that was excessive. Trump enjoys winding up the lefties so they get worked into a frenzy while laughing at their ridiculousness.
At any rate, it’s just a bunch of meaningless fearmongering.
On Oct. 2 Shinkoskey wrote: “We clearly have partisan political party hatred where one side calls the other ‘lunatics’ and sends the military to cities to curb their enthusiasm.” If breaking windows, burning federal buildings, blocking roadways and curbing everyday street violence is not justification for the National Guard, I wouldn’t know why we’d even have those troops.
But he goes on to say, “We have anti-Latino harassment, arrests, and deportations carried out by the Department of Homeland Security, whose name might perhaps more aptly be called the Department of White People Security. The current administration is worried that brown-skin Americans will become the largest ethnic group in America in a decade or so if deportations are not expedited like crazy.”
His is a downright silly and misguided ideology. Apparently he thinks flooding the nation with needy, impoverished border crashers who could care less about American values are a good thing. To hell with following the law Congresses have debated and passed.
Shinkoskey also wrote on Oct. 20: “A king can do things like shoot live ordinance rounds over a California freeway to show how pissed off he is about protests on ‘No Kings’ day. No matter that he delays weekend traffic for hours and that a live shell explodes prematurely landing shrapnel on a Highway Patrol cruiser. Californians deserve worse for being so liberal!”
Here’s another example where Newsom used fake news and postured himself to take another shot at Trump, his arch nemesis. (As you know, the governor wants to be president so bad that he must ignore his own dismal failures in his governance and instead draw the support of those with Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) even though Trump cannot run again.)
The live fire at Camp Pendleton was not because Trump was ticked off over No Kings Day. The Marine Corps was celebrating its 250th anniversary.
Meidas Touch, a progressive anti-Trump “news” company, started the nonsense when it published: “Sources tell Meidas Touch the White House will shut down portions of the I-5 for Vice President J.D. Vance’s Marine Corps spectacle during No Kings protests, triggering chaos, gridlock and outrage as troops go unpaid during the shutdown.” How’s that for extreme bias in reporting?
Newsom denounced the display by saying, “This would be an absurd show of force, and totally uncalled for during a government shutdown when members of the military cannot even get a paycheck.”
It always circles back to a Trump attack. Something tells me, however, that members of the military – who have an intense pride in our defense capabilities – eagerly participated. The progressives at Meidas Touch, however, termed it a “vanity parade.”
Newsom, who is likely the subject of contempt by most in the military, followed up with “Donald Trump and J.D. Vance think that shutting down the I-5 to shoot missiles from ships is how you respect the military. Put aside your vanity parade and pay our troops instead (all caps to indicate he’s screaming).
But the next day, the Marines issued a statement saying: “All training events will occur on approved training ranges and comport with established safety protocols. No public highways or transportation routes will be closed.”
Newsom then had the audacity to say he was “relieved the White House backed off its plans to shut down a major interstate.” He then circled back to suggest Trump lacked common sense because he supported a continued budget stalemate – one the Democrats have caused because they wish to die on the hill of providing medical benefits to illegal aliens.
In another hypocritical stance, Newsom went ahead and ordered I-5 closed near Red Beach. Is he bipolar? He also issued another statement saying: “Using our military to intimidate people you disagree with isn’t strength – it’s reckless, it’s disrespectful, and it’s beneath the office he holds. Law and order? This is chaos and confusion.”
Vice President Vance’s office issued a stinging rebuke of Newsom, saying; ‘Governor Newsom is spreading fake news to Californians to fearmonger and score cheap political points.”
Newsom always looks to pick a fight where often there is none. He wants the presidency so bad he would sell his mother’s soul to the Devil.

If you want a good lesson in progressive idealism gone amok, you need to know of the problems in the Modesto City School with students going ape in the classroom. A KCRA-TV segment focused on some insane program to reward students for bad behavior that only encourages bad behavior.
The segment starts out saying, “Madness in Modesto schools. Teachers say classrooms are being turned upside down with some students destroying supplies.”
It’s the lack of consequences – and you’ll hear conservatives say this ALL THE TIME – that is fostering little animals. And we know little animals turn into adult animals.
It’s a policy called PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) which rewards kids for acting out. In the old days if you acted up your butt got a paddling in the principal’s office and/or suspended. You straightened up and flew right. Not anymore. Now if a kid gets sent to the office after destroying the classroom he/she gets a talking to and a bag of chips or a juice box. They learn quickly that if you flip over a desk and throw papers across the room that you’ll get a treat!
Is this not the stupidest policy you’ve heard of? It’s kind of what’s going on in the justice system with adults. Murder someone and you get 10 to 12 years behind bars instead of getting fried in the electric chair or swing from the end of a rope.

So Gavin Newsom has indicated he plans to run for president. No duh. Really? What a surprise!
We saw this coming 500 miles away with the way he has been shifting to the middle on issues in an attempt to look like a moderate when he is truly a radical progressive who won’t be able to defend his failed radical policies in California and win most of the states.
The hypocrisy of this guy knows no bounds. He has condemned Trump’s removal of the east wing of the White House to build a new ballroom, writing on X: “While all the districts pay extra for groceries and every day goods, the White House is excited to announce that the capitol is creating a grand ballroom for opulent parties. May the odds be ever in your favor!”
Nevermind that Trump isn’t using taxpayer funds.
But guess what? As is typical when they criticize the president, they’re doing the same thing. In California there is a secret $1.2 billion to $1.6 billion renovation of the state capital complex which is being financed entirely by taxpayers. The removal of the annex at the back of the capitol and replacing it with an expensive remodel will leave us with one of the most expensive buildings in the United States! The capital annex was built in the 1950s era and really didn’t need replacing. Cloaked in secrecy, some original estimates suggested the renovation would cost $500 million but according to KCRA-TV the project has balloon to possibly over $1.6 billion. The Democrats have been less than transparent since reports revealed that more than 2,000 people involved in the project were required to sign nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), limiting public access to spending and contract details. If this doesn’t smell like a massive elitist in-your-face effort to bypass public concerns over this project, I don’t know what would qualify.
The new building’s architecture has been criticized as well with glass and steel and a private corridor, so that lawmakers can privately make their way to their respective chambers and parking lots without ever facing the public.
Donald Trump is privately funding the White House renovation, but those on the Left have zero interest in finding out the true cost of the expensive California capital project.
State Assembly Republican leader James Gallagher said of the capital annex project last May: “This project is not about serving Californians. It is about serving themselves. And taxpayers are the ones stuck with the bill. Californians deserve answers, not more excuses. They deserve a government that works for them, not one that walls itself off behind billion-dollar doors.”
