Yes, football is overrated

I could not agree more of your article ("Football was never meant to become ‘life" published Dec. 4). I remembered in 1992 my freshman year at Fresno State, my professor asked if the students knew the name of the school president. About five hands were raised. The next question was who is the current football coach. I was shocked about 40 hands were raised. I was one of those 40 hands.

You are right we pay to much attention to football. Not sure how one can change that.
