Over 10,000 want it, so let Walmart built

Editor, Ceres Courier,

I just don't how things work in here in Ceres.

After over 10,000 people sign petititions and want the Walmart to come here, 96 people go and protest it and there you go, another stay. This is so wrong. I thought majority wins but in this case it looks like it's not true.

What does it take for Ceres residents to get what they vote for?

Look at all the open land we have around here. That's tax money just sitting here. As we drive by the new Walmart site, I see tax money just drying up like the weeds that are growing there. It's a shame that the people can't see the truth. I am just one of many people who are so disappointed in this appeal. We need to move on and upgrade Ceres. New business means new homes, new jobs, more taxes.

Gerri Mello,

Ceres

Danielle's family grateful

Editor, Ceres Courier,

I am the grandmother of Danielle Tarancon. I was very touched what the city did, to put this memorial stone to remember her.

Thank you.

Debbie Kuharski
