Cardoza supports National Writing Project

Editor, Ceres Courier,

I am writing to express my appreciation for Congressman Dennis Cardoza. He has been a long time friend of education and supporter of the National Writing Project. Congressman Cardoza has continually shown his support and commitment to the educational community, especially in regards to writing.

This summer I participated in the U.C. Merced Writing Project's Summer Institute where I was given the opportunity to work with fellow teachers to improve our knowledge in the area of teaching writing. This was a wonderful learning experience for me that was made possible by Congressman Cardoza's long time support of the program and others like it. He has been a firm believer in the importance of writing and the teaching of writing to students in California.

Congressman Cardoza has played a crucial role in this program's success, and has assured his continual backing of the program for years to come. It is because of him and his support that the education of California's students will continue to improve.

Thank you, Congressman Cardoza, for being such a believer in the importance of writing!
