Childrens Crisis Center values community support

Editor, Ceres Courier,

The Children's Crisis Center of Stanislaus County (CCC) operates four shelter programs established to protect, nurture and comfort local abused, neglected and mistreated children. These respite homes are safe harbors that offer solace to children living within troubles families where violence, neglect and hunger are negatively impacting their lives.

The Children's Crisis Center programs keep high-risk children safe while helping them to heal beyond traumatic family events. Children are welcomed into these homes during day time and night time hours, making the Children's Crisis Center the only program in Stanislaus County offering the innovative combination of 24-hour shelter, emergency respite care, therapeutic play and crisis counseling to protect high-risk children.

For over 36 years the Children's Crisis Center has kept children safe, shielding them from unstable high-risk family circumstances. It is with community support that we have been able to safeguard these local children. As we approach the holiday season, we ask that you find a place in your heart to remember these children with a small contribution that will help us continue to keep them out of harm's way.

Thank you for your consideration.
