Editor, Ceres Courier,

While our City Council has allowed cannabis to become the norm in Ceres over the last couple years, at the same time they have given our city manager over 20 percent in raises. This is on top of already a generous salary and perks up the gazoo. 

While I support cannabis – and I’m happy that Mr. Benziger has seen the light in regards to cannabis – I want to know if any of our council members have financial ties to the cannabis industry. If one of our leaders is, or is planning on being in the weed business will be interesting to see. Always follow the money.
