In support of Ceres and other towns with bad reputations

Editor, Ceres Courier,

I have many families and friends and I myself bought a home in Ceres last year. We all love Ceres. We think it's a great place to be. We've never had any problems. I have family here that's been here their whole lives.

I lived most of my adult life in Empire, which has the same bad reputation. The problems any of us have had have been people from outside influence - usually who are here to enjoy events then they cause problems.

I believe there are good neighborhoods and there are some very poor neighborhoods. My son lives in a very nice neighborhood in Modesto and they've had break-ins, stolen cars, etc. in their area. Bad things happen everywhere. And great neighbors happen everywhere if you're friendly to people, they will be friendly to you.

J.M. Spikes,
Ceres
