Recognizing good people is worth it

Editor, Ceres Courier,

On behalf of the Ceres Chamber of Commerce, I would like to thank everyone that came out for the 46th annual Community Service Awards and Installation Dinner on Jan. 30 and I would like to congratulate all of the winners for the night.

It is such an honor to be a part of such an increduble community. We have so many people in our community that give so much and goes unrecognized. They do what they do, not for recognition, but because they care. So it really feels good to take time out to recognize these individuals and business for their contributions.

When you see and hear them at the podium accepting their awards, some in tears and overcome in joy, it is such a good feeling to know that they are being recognized for their work, their support, contributions or volunteerism and they so much appreciate it.

The Ceres Chamber is so proud to be able to bring this annual event to fruition. It takes a lot of work, planning, phone calls, appointments, and meetings but in the end it is so worth it!

Thanks again to all of our board members, volunteers, donors, sponsors and guests who make this event successful. And a special thanks to those who give so selflessly for being a part of Ceres.

Renee Ledbetter,
Ceres Chamber President
