Editor, Ceres Courier,
To all of those that have realized that by using Rose Avenue or Louise Avenue to avoid the lights at Whitmore and Mitchell – slow down! If I came speeding through your neighborhood because I wasn’t smart enough to leave early enough to get where I was going, you wouldn’t like it either. This is where our kids play. If the city of Ceres would like to increase revenue, just put a patrol officer with radar on either Dale Avenue or Joy Avenue facing either one of these super speedways and just start raking it in.
Maybe some speed bumps if the path through Shushan Avenue is worthy of them? These two roadways most certainly are.
So to our elected officials, quit arguing about chicken restaurants and their locations and start doing your jobs, i.e., protect your residents. I implore any and all who live in these areas to keep an eye on your kids because the disrespect for our neighborhood runs rampant and it’s not profitable for the city to take care of it.
Rob Matthews,
Ceres
